Jagjivan was working as an accounts assistant in an automobile spare parts wholesale dealership company. The company was a major automobile manufacturing company in addition to spare parts dealership of imported vehicles. Although his position was ordinary he was holding responsibility of stores in addition to accounts. He was finding difficult to pull his life with his limited salary. About twenty percent of his agricultural land was acquired by highway authority and his family got hefty compensation. In addition to this due to sudden highway development the land price in his hometown increased manifold. His family was able to get water in co-operation with other farmers and they were able to dig some common bore wells. His agricultural income saw a boom and he was able to buy tractors and several agricultural implements. The amount invested in the shares of the US company became Rs 350/- in a matter of 5 years. In fact the wind of fortune hit Jagjivan from several quarters to make him a rich person with several vehicles and increase in land and building even in Bangalore.
